Leanne Mills has spent 20 years doing one kind of work: helping women whose hair has thinned, shed, broken, or changed give them back the sense of self they lost along the way. Innovative Hair Solutions is her private Beverly Hills studio. We’re the place women come after their regular salon, dermatologist, and well-meaning friends have run out of suggestions.
A great colorist or stylist works with healthy hair. A hair loss specialist works with hair that is changing — thinner than it used to be, shedding more than it should, regrowing after a medical event, or affected by a condition the woman has been living with for years.
The skill set is different. We start every appointment by looking at the condition of the scalp and existing hair. Density, tension patterns, regrowth cycles, and the history of chemicals, heat, glue, weaves, or extensions that came before. Only then do we talk about what is possible — and how to get there without making things worse.
At IHS, that work is built around the proprietary IHS Link System™: a method designed entirely for hair that needs special care.
Each of these has a dedicated page with more detail. Most clients fit one of these descriptions when they first walk in — and almost all of them have already seen at least one other professional.
Diffuse thinning across the crown, the part line, and around the temples. The most common form of hair loss in women.
The shedding that begins 3–6 months after delivery and can take a year or more to fully reverse.
Density, texture, and growth changes around perimenopause and menopause.
One of our specialty areas. Coverage of pulled areas with no traction on the regrowing hair, and no interference with treatment.
Areata, traction, and scarring forms. Patchy loss, hairline loss from past tension, and ongoing scalp conditions.
A respectful, comfortable hair solution that you can wear during treatment — without interfering with your medical care or future regrowth.
Glue, tape, sew-in, or weave damage from previous salons. We rebuild on hair that has been weakened.
Density and length for hair that has always been fine, without the weight of traditional methods.
The studio is in Beverly Hills. Leanne also travels to a small number of cities on a recurring schedule for clients who can’t make it to Los Angeles.
Leanne has done only this kind of work since 2006. Every appointment, every consultation, every system she has built has been for a woman with hair loss or thinning hair.
A proprietary method that uses gentle metal links and 100% human hair. No glue, no tape, no heat, no chemicals. Designed from day one for hair that needs care.
You will not share the space with other clients. There is no walk-in traffic. The whole environment is built for women who need privacy and time.
The first appointment is always a free consultation. You’ll talk to Leanne, in our Beverly Hills studio, with Leanne personally.
You share your story: What your hair has been like, what you’ve tried, what you’ve been told by doctors, dermatologists, or other salons. Leanne assesses your scalp and existing hair in person.
And you leave with a clear answer about whether the IHS Link System is right for you, what it would look like, and what it would cost.
If your hair isn’t a fit for what we do, Leanne will let you know and point you toward what is.
Leanne founded IHS in 2006 after watching client after client be turned away from traditional salons because their hair was not a candidate for what was on the menu. The IHS Link System grew out of that frustration. The IHS Link System is a method designed entirely around hair that needs care.
Twenty years later, Leanne still personally handles every consultation in the Beverly Hills studio. Her clients include women who have flown across the country, women who have spent years in dermatology and trichology appointments before finding her, and women who simply wanted their hair to feel like their own again.

A great hair stylist is trained to work with healthy hair. A hair loss specialist is trained to work with hair that is thinning, shedding, regrowing, or affected by a condition. The skill set is different, the consultation process is different, and the methods used are different. We do specialty work for people dealing with hair loss; we do not do general styling, color, or extensions for clients with healthy thick hair.
No. We’re a hair solution, not a medical provider, and we don’t diagnose conditions, so there’s nothing you need to have figured out first. Clients come to us before, during, after, or entirely without dermatology care. What we do is look at your hair and scalp in person and design a solution for what’s happening now. We always encourage clients to stay connected with their doctors, dermatologists, and therapists, because they know what’s going on in ways we can’t, and we want the best outcome for you.
The Link System works for most forms of hair loss and thinning, including female pattern, postpartum, menopause-related, alopecia (most types), trichotillomania, hair changes during chemotherapy, and damage from previous extensions. It is not appropriate for every situation — certain forms of scarring alopecia and very advanced loss may require a different approach. The free consultation is where we figure that out, in person, with no pressure either way.
The first consultation is free. After that, pricing depends on hair length, density, and how much hair the system requires. This is why we never quote remotely. At the consultation you’ll get a quote for your specific hair, before you decide whether to move forward. Maintenance visits every 6–8 weeks are quoted separately.
Our private studio is at 9455 S. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90210. We see clients between 10 AM to 5 PM, seven days a week, by appointment only. We also see clients by appointment in Miami, Palm Springs, and Las Vegas.
The first step is always the same: a free consultation in the Beverly Hills studio with Leanne. No pressure to book a service afterward. Just an honest, expert assessment of what is possible for your hair, from someone who has spent twenty years doing only this kind of work.
